hey Psyco,

Mike here,

what type of protection are you useing( spyware /antivirus /firewall /type of connection ?

what type of computerare you useing ( make /model /age / ect....

have you ever run a system file check?

have you ever run scandisk ?

are your drivers updated ?

are your windows updates , up to date ?

have you checked for conflicks ?

are you connected to the internet when this happens ?

are you running other programs when this happens ?

dose it show you any errors on the reboot ?

i ask these question to get a better idea !!

hey psyco

mike here

sounds like you have a corrupt install !!

you could have a virus ??

do you have another pc to communicate on ??for if you do i recommend doing a hard drive wipe then reformate onto a clean hard drive and start from scratch for you system is unstable for some reason if it happening that often and happening other programs this quickly !!!!!!

is this a full install or was it a upgrade ?

you can also get a great hard drive wiper at (http://www.majorgeeks.com) for free, but you need another pc to run it !!

it is called (killdisk) and can be found in harddrive tools

but we can try a few things first !!

naa, i think i located the problem, it seems to be a software problem(a while ago i got a netgear.sys or .dll error, i assume its that, but im seeking the software's forum help)

but if i encounter the problem again i shall consider what you said:)

hey psyco ,

glad to here that !!

if it is a .dll problem you can fix that but you need a instalation cd to run a system file checker

start

run

type (cmd

type(sfc

type (sfc /scannow ( notice the space before /

enter

and have the cd ready and let the program run

insert cd when asked

then when done take out the cd and reboot

then defrag

hey psyco

well i tried to help

.dll are usually part of windows subsystem

if you have a friend that has one it will work for it just pulls the files from the cd and replaces or installs the ones that are missing or corrupt so any XP cd will work

but i really dont see a router causing that much of a problem !!!

best of luck to you

instead of going to there forum try going to the home page of the router and downloading the fixs / patches for the software (if any )(driver updates

lol ,

sorry !!!

okay you have the latest , try rolling your driver back for you might have goten the driver that is not compatible , it may be for another router to wich may or not be your fault for i have gotten the wrong drivers befor

you do this in your device manager

do you know how
