I have old Toshiba lap from 2007, and in last time strange things happens with him.
1) Recycle Bin problem
2) Problem with opening FREE BSPlayer version. Just stuck whole mashine, everything is freezed; after a while, system recover little, and I can shout it down. And offten I must restart. Response on double click on it isn't good. With other players situation is little better, but still it take time to open.
I keep much movies on lap, and running all the time at the edge
Maybe is that reason.
Is my OS corrupted? How can I recover it if this is possible?
I'm affraid of reinstall, because there is no more support for XP.
I like XP, and somewhere I read hakers gladlier attack new OS.
It's the other way around. Windows XP is more vulnerable and is not going to be updated, so it is an easy target for hackers. But most people have moved on from XP so Hackers are changing their focus to newer versions of Windows. That doesn't make XP any safer.
As for your Recycle Bin, if you had an External HDD attached and deleted some files from it, and then unplugged the external from the computer, and then Emptied the Recycle Bin. Then re-attached the External drive, the deleted files would still be in the Recycle Bin, but the Recycle Bin would still show it as Empty.
To totally empty the recycle bin, With the external drive attached,Do a Disk Cleanup or use Temp File Cleaner
What is on drive F: ? This drive shows as totally full. You need to move some files from this drive. Windows needs 15% Free Space on a drive for it to work properly.
F: and H: are both full and over capacity. You need to delete or move some files off of these drives to give them at least 15% free space, then you can Defrag each drive manually. When the drives are plugged in, did you do a Disk Cleanup or did you run TFC to remove temp files and clear out the Recycle Bin?
Uninstall Free BS player, and restart. Reinstall it and see if that solves the problem.
Recycle Bin is emphty now (no need for screenshot). Shoud I still do what you say, with plugged drives?
And, please don't be angry, I know what you think about CCleaner, but I use he for browser cleaning only, and because of next:
As you can see, I deinstaled BS, but in registry remains refferences on it, shortcut on it remains, and folder Webteh in C:\ Program files, and I'm convicted somehow, if man know what do, it can use it.
So, I think first two things are important for system and keep them.
For deinstall I use Your Uninstaller! 7, but he don't remove all references from registry.
I wish to ask you some things: is there a soft which apsolutly remove all data for program from registry, or I should use Add/Remove programs from Control Panel? Probably many bad convictions. This time, I will accept your advice for ever.
Still have messege
This instruction at 0x00000000 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The

CCleaner has an Uninstall utility under Tools.
Revo Uninstaller is another good one.
CCleaner's temp file remover is great, The Registry Cleaner we do not suggest, but if you use it just for the BSPlayer files only, it should be OK but use with caution and make a registry backup first.
I would still suggest plugging in your external drives in and run Disk Cleanup, CCleaner or TFC in case there are deleted files that are not showing in the Recycle Bin
From the very beginning my lap wasn't work properly, when I restart OS raise very slowly, I must wait 2'. I don't think I have to many instaled programs and with system starts uTorent, IDM and Avira.
Is it possible all addicional apps install on F: or H: and us it from there, and on C: keep just system? How would that efect speed?
When you install a program, it not only installs in the C:\Program Files, it also installs to the Windows Registry and a few other files like C:\Program Files\Common Files, and under C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\ and All Users.
You cannot install a program to an external drive, because it won't have access to the Windows Registry if you unplug it. As long as you Defrag your C: drive regularly, you can have as many programs as you want. As long as you have at least 15% free space to defrag.
If your computer is running slow, after running Defrag and CCleaner, then you may want to run Check Disk. Go to Start/Run and type chkdsk C: /R and press enter. In the Command Prompt type a Y for Yes and restart your computer. Check Disk will start at next bootup and go through 5 stages this will take a while.
Can do that for a few days, on C: I have 1.41 GB free, and 15% from 74.5 is 11.7 so I have to delete the movies that I didn't watched ...
About one thing I'm pretty sure now, BSPlayer 2.69 is full of bugs. I haved window with long list of bugs occured on my lap, reddy for for sending, but accidently close BS. Can I call this window again somehow, to send bugs? BTW, he will be "retaired" again.
Who is he?
If you feel you are infected, please click on the link in my signature for Virus/Malware Help and do those things and start a new thread in that section of the forum and post the results there and not here please.
BSPlayer. I don't think I'm infected. Lap is now very quiet, after unplugging F250GB) and H500GB), when they are plugged noise is like on airport, and lap is overhitting. Temperature is now normal. I have somewhere hitting checker...
I was thinking about some diagnostic tool to check OS, and see if eventually something is corruped. Probably it is, after my play with CCleaner. And I don't have experience with System Restore.
I have originally Toshiba's Product Recovery, but once inserted in CD drive, he delete everything, and begin new installation, which I wish to avoide. I don't know is it possible to use it (and how) for system recovery only, not for reinstall.
And never tryed with Disc Image for such purposes.
Toshiba's Product Recovery sets your computer back to Factory Defaults, removing all of your personal files. You would do this only if your computer is too infected or it won't boot. System Restore takes your computer back to a date on a calendar, like before you used IObit. It does not affect your personal files, just the Windows files and drivers.
If your computer is working good without the externals plugged in, then the externals are the problem. You may want to invest in a much larger external 2TB or larger and copy the contents of both or your old external drives to the larger one so you will only have 1 external drive.
