I have a Intel Core 2 Dou 1.86ghz with 3GB of ram running Windows XP SP3.
I hooked up a corrupted hard drive to my computer to try to recover some data, and ever since then it takes 2 and a half minutes to come up with the log-in screen, and another 5 and a half minutes for the computer to completely load everything once I log in. That means from turning on the computer, and being able to use it, I have to wait 8 minutes. And even then it doesn't fully load everything...if I want everything to load, I have to log out after logging in, and then log in again.
Before all of this, I was up and running in less than a minute, so something is seriously wrong.
I have posted on many forums, but no one seems to want to help.
Please...if theres anyone on here that can help me even in the slightest bit, I would be so greatful.
I am pretty technically inclined, but can't seem to figure out what happened.
I don't have many things loading at start up, just the essentials (networking, anti virus, etc...)
Thank you ahead of time!
