Not sure where this belongs really, sorry if it's the wrong place .. so eh a week or so ago my pc just started making that croaking sound as if it's trying to load something - but constantly every two seconds, when it's not doing anything at all.. Is it old age?.. or a virus maybe?.. Anyway now I can't leave downloads going and sleep at the same time because it's so annoying lol.. I don't think it slows my comp down but im not sure, it's always been pretty slow.. it's got 498MHz, 192mb ram pent III, and im running XP.. anyway for some reason the croaking stops when I kill explorer which kinda made me think it's a virus, but I wouldn't have a clue
Thanks in advance for any help lol

Hello and Welcome to TSF

Scan your pc with 2 of these free online scanners:
Panda ActiveScan
RAV AntiVirus
Housecall Be sure to put a check the box beside AutoClean when using Housecall.

Does it actually sound like a constipated frog
Ive never heard a frog constipated so I dont know what it sounds like

seems like you may have a pretty old computer, which would mean you have an old hard drive. Some slower hard drives make noise, especially if its running XP when its too slow. Try and find out the speed of your hard drive.
