Hey guys..

I just purchased a new program last night, My Friends Manager. After installing and running it for the first time today I keep getting this error message half way through a process:

Friends Manager.exe - Application Error

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process ID=0x394 (916), Thread ID=0xcb8 (3256).

Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to debug the application.

As soon as I click OK it closes the program... if I click CANCEL I get the following:

No registered JIT debugger was specified.

Click on Retry to have the process wait while attaching a debugger manually.
Click on Cancel to abort the JIT debug request.

I'm by no means good with this kinda stuff so I have no idea how to get rid of this.

Any help would be muchly appreciated.

I'm running XP Media Center Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 3

Cheers,

Aaron

Try Dependency Walker. It looks for missing dlls required by the program you're running. I've never used it, but it came recommended by a friend and is free.

Thanks mate. I actually downloaded that earlier, after doing some research on the net... but I actually have no idea how to use it?

Start by uninstalling the program and restarting your computer and reinstalling it.

look on the website, therres a tutorial somewhere I'm sure. I think F7 should do something, but don't take my word for it.

Had a look for the tutorial... I couldn't find one though.. just a lot of jargon I couldn't understand.

Well, it means you're missing a crucial part of the file and windows is pretty much telling you... "hey... hey wait... you can't do that. Not until you have this!!! *holds up something looking magical* It's the dll of destiny!!!"
