I have 2 new installs for XP Pro and my HP 1320 wont install on either because the hardware driver support for the 1294.4 device is missing.

I have searched all over. No one knows where or what this essential driver is, except that they cant use their printer without it and it shows up as missing after a clean install.

thanks, roger

After searching I found this. I don't know if it is specific to your problem but It seems that this HP 1320 printer has a rather quirky install with incomplete documentation. Anyway, here is the link:

Let us know if it helps.

There was a driver missing from XP, dont know which one, but the HP 1320 driver installed fine and it is good to go. That was very weird, missing driver on XP.
