Since that time I am having trouble connecting and configuring it. When I try to configure with the Easy Go cd installation it give an error: 109. I don't know why?? :4-dontkno

Later when I try to configure via Web Configuration, I am not able to log in to web configuration!! It was working for a while but then it just won't load, no matter what.

Confession: I might be guilty of updating the firmware over wireless connection. :uhoh: :dead:

Please, please, please let me know if I have screwed up the router of do I still have some hope... :xolconfus

In the above sample data, ip 124.82.84.192 of session [ses 0xb4b] is my IP, I have no idea who/what the other IPs are. However these are legit connections to various sites (I've checked some, and the ones that I got through are mostly just plain websites).

I've been having this issue for the past week, and I have no idea how to explain this to my ISP, since they believe I'm high on something when I mentioned I have traffic while even disconnected.

At peak hours, when these unknown traffic are at their highest, I practically lose all connection to the internet with over 80% packet loss even to my ISP gateway.

Anyone clueful and experienced on the matter, I would sincerely appreciate some insight on whether this is a faulty DSLAM, or any other issue, and any other relevant info, which I may be able to somehow break it down to the Einsteins that work as tech support for my ISP.

Hi all,
I have:-
A 4 port +wireless adsl router
Main PC is xp home and permanently ethernetted to router
Laptop is XP Pro which is sometimes used wireless and sometimes ethernet cable.

There is only one account on each computer (plus the hidden Administrator account).

The router, laptop and main pc use firewalls (not Windows)

Whether I am on the laptop or the main pc, I wish to be able to access all files from both computers.

The reason for this is that I'm 'Admin' for both, the missus shares the laptop with me and all 4 family members share the main pc.

How would I stop anyone, other than myself, from connecting to the shared drives either from the internet or the LAN?

p.s. I only need to access both from the LAN or WLAN.

I know Vista has remote access software in it but it says you cant access XP machines and it should only be on business version of vista but it seems to be present on mine.

Essetially looking for the easiest solution to remote access there PCs. Are there any other software programes I could use. Althought good with basic PC management this stuff is new to me and would be grateful for any help.

Kind Regards

Hi Guys,

I need you help. Here is my situation.

I have two LANS spread over a geographical area which I would like to connect.

On Network A, I have Internet connection, dhcp server, Cisco 2800 Series router, Cisco 2960 Series switch, exchange, file server and so on.

On Network B, I have the same thing as network A but no exchange.

Anyways, Network A has an internal IP of 10.47.200.0 and Network B has an Internal Network of 10.47.220.0

I have purched a leased line or point to point connection between the two locations but what i want to do is I want each location to use its own dhcp and internet connection but still be able to access resources from each others network. How can i do this?

I tried just connecting the point to point into the cisco switch in on location and the same on the other side. The plus side is that I can see the other network from one end. However as soon I attach the dhcp my network will either fail on one side or one dhcp server will become the dominate and will start sending addresses to the other side. How can i prevent this.

Also, Network A has a domain controller, so i want network B to be apart of this domain. Is this possible?

I did some research and some say it is possible through VLANS and trunking. However when i tried this I got the result mentioned above.

Please Help

Thanks

Donny Q

i got a linksys wireless router, wrt54g from my aunt. my old one is very old, so i wanted to try this one. i went through and reset the key and all that, and such up a new wireless connected, with the WEP protection i guess it is. i click on the chosen network to connect, it goes through the connection process and connects, but the network list says Not Connected. i am connected, and can use the internet, but then it won't stay connected for more than a few mins. just stops working and i have to repeat the connection process.

i went to my router page and tried to make sure things matched up, but like i said, i'm clueless on this stuff, so i'm a bit lost. :4-dontkno

has anyone heard of this problem before?

Hello there,

I am currently having a pretty critical issue with my internet connectivity at the moment. While online, after about 2-5 hours or so, my internet activity will decrease significantly as a result of the following issues:

- My browser will 'time-out' as it were; no longer loading pages.
- Updates for software such as anti-virus/anti-spyware, firewall, gaming updates, etc. will not respond. They won't process any outgoing bandwidth or something along those lines.
- Attempting to establish a connection for various gaming servers that run on a 'Master list' system won't work - no listings will be shown, though I can still connect to them via my 'Favourite servers' list.

These problems can only be fixed through restarting my computer. I've tried to see if it was a router-related problem (restarting my router and such) but it made no difference. I'm not sure if it's a virus or anything of that sort either that is contributing to this issue, but I'm certain it's related to the computer itself.

I can't recall how these issues came about, or what could be contributing to them. I thought it would be worth mentioning that I'm also unable to access the 'Network & Sharing Center' feature, by which it only brings up a blank window with 'The page failed to load' on it.

I'm currently running on a relatively new system (bought in late August, custom built) that runs on Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit OS. The computer itself is very well equipped for most purposes, and my router is also consistently running with a good connection, as I have used it without any problems on other computers.

This problem has become quite a large problem for me, as I now have to run two computers in order to browse the internet and make use of my main desktop computer which I use for gaming and school work (which require a browser quite often in both cases).

Any assistance with this issue would be greatly appreciated. If any additional information is required, I will happily include it in my following posts. I'd also like to apologize if I've posted in the incorrect forum, or if I've missed out any prior steps that I should have included.

Thanks in advance,
- Henry

Because of virus problems, I had to reformat (Destructive Recovery from Systems Recovery) my laptop (Compaq, Presario V3000).
Now, I can't connect to our wireless connection.

Our wireless connection is security enabled, but everytime I try to connect, the box asking for the Network Key would not appear. Instead, it says "Windows is unable to connect to the selected network. The network may no longer be in range. Please refresh the list of available networks, and try to connect again."

I was told to dl SP2, so I did by connecting my laptop to the router. now, after downloading the SP2 and restarting the computer, the internet connected to the router didn't work either.

what's happening? please help me!!
thank you.
