I have a couple of issues with this car but hopefully ones that are easily fixed.
I have a noice coming from the front end of my car on the passenger side. It is constantly happening whether im moving or not or turning or not. It only goes away when push on the engine mount that connects to the timing cover (which is cracked) I believe that the mount is pushing against the cracked cover and that is rubbing on the timimg belt/ tensioner. I made sure the mount was very snug, but i have not replaced the timing cover. Would that be the problem or can it possibly be a bearing that the timing belt runs over that is going bad.

Also my idle flexuates (surges) from 1,500 to sometimes 500 but varies on how warm my engine is. Sometimes it doesn't flexuate at all. Could that be the idle air control valve. Or perhaps a vacuum leak (I haven't found any so far) any help on this issue as well?

Thanks, dirtrdr427

I have a 67 F250 that the rear brakes fell apart on. I have the new hardware to put back in but I need a picture of the parts layout so I can get it back together correctly. I would rather not take the other side apart since this a ¾ ton axle. If I can, I‘d like to keep one rear wheel on the ground because the driveway is on a slant. Can anybody help?
Thanks in advance

I am having a problem with my 1998 Chevy S-10 4.3l V6/4x2

The problem started without any warning when I turned it off and it wouldn't start back up. I had it towed it to a friend's house. I sprayed ether and it started up and stayed running well for a week.

Today it happened again. I shut off the truck and it wouldn't start back up again. I tried ether again and now it starts but won't go above an idle.

While its running I can hear a loud vacuum noise from the top of the throttle opening (the back side top). When I stick my finger down in the hole (don't know what it's called but it's a throttle port on top of the engine) the idle smooths out. When I take my finger out it idles roughly again and stalls out.

Any thoughts on what it might be, what I might check?
