Well, my prob is this. In the mercury news, theres this audio slideshow with pictures and audio of one of my uncle's students. he wants me to help him put this on a DVD (its flash). however, its embedded, so i have no idea how to get it off. I've tried several different ways, like downloading the actual file. THis does nothing. Can anyone help?

This definately isn't the right place for this topic, but I have no clue which forum to move this thread to...

So... The thing you'll need to do is download the .SWF file that's being used. You then either need to include some type of Flash viewer on the DVD, convert the Flash file to an MPEG/AVI/WMV/whatever your favorite video format is, convert the .SWF to a .EXE so that Windows can play it directly or create the DVD as a bunch of HTML pages so that the browser opens up when they stick the disk in. This way, you can leave the file as an .SWF and the browser will handle the viewing automatically.

yeah. i got the solution.

i did it with 2 steps.

1. by using FlashFetcher I saved it on my hard disc. (this prog is free for using, you will have just to wait about 1 minute to continue in order to save)

2. and finally Flash To Video Encoder PRO (free to try, well i dont know what will be if you record your flash on DVD with unregestered tool, coz I have bought it a long time ago, anyway try it) Easily burn your flash on DVD.

and no problem!

good luck! =)

ok, is that a swf file?
It could possible was saved but, it could not be played.
there are 2 ways.
Maybe this flash wasnt saved at all (see the filesize)
Or flash was saved but it could not play, you have to play in another player (GeoVid flash player, Interner Explorer or Macromedia Flash Player.) Of course If filesize is worth.

it sais 16.6KB.

I tried to get it using 'UnPlug' for Firefox, and there was a message from it:

This is a Macromedia Flash object. It can be saved and opened in Flash Player. Parts of the Flash file may be on the internet, so the flash file may not be complete.

Maybe that's why?
