All short .com and .net domans have already been purchased. I highly doubt you'll get one of those for free considering how much money they're worth.

To get a .com or .net domain you need to purchase it. There are no free sites unless the host of the site, wishes for you to share it with him or her.

You can use DynDNS to setup a free self hosted account. Your free domain and you self host. The domain will not be .com or .net but there is a selection to choose from.

You can also get a free .tk domain but hosting needs to be payed for.

I hope that helps, if not, feel free to ask

I've seen various (short and long) domains on sale at various websites. The shorter they were, the more expensive they were (usually). The only one that I can think of right now is ebay.com.

Some webhosts will give you a free domain, but you have to sign up with them for a year or so for that. Domain names are not free for anyone, including the host that's giving it to you for free, so don't think you can just get one for nothing.

LOL, you remember me!!!

yes, i'm the co-administrator of sepi's site

Quite a long story how i met him too:

Firstly i met his friend Robin or Krakozia as known here on the thread: http://www.techsupportforum.com/clie...ajor-help.html

(You might recall this thread, you posted a couple of times i think)

Then on MSN after helping robin i met Sepi trying to run a support forum

Ok, wasn't quite that long of a story...
