Image Ready - replacing html file
I have made some images in photoshop as foundation for a web site and I am currently building and optimizing it in ImageReady. In making rollower buttons and other finesses I experience problems after saving optimized as html. I was not happy with the first page, and when I replaced it and reopen the html file the page comes up as garbled - meaning that the old layers also seems to appear. I cannoīt understand what I have done wrong...
All helpful hints appreciated |

...have not sorted out the problem still
Had to take a break from the webpage for a day as it drives me mad that I havenīt been able to sort the problem out....
I have enclosed the psd file as an example of how the page should look (only half the page is showing in this), as well a screeshot of how it turns out as html. Somehow as the html file is replaced not all slices are active. For instance the backround elements as well as the text box does not appear. These are slices that are not active and show as gray - see third example enclosed. I have about 12 pages under the indexpage that I am trying to optimize for web. Hope this explains the problems & challenges I am experiencing. Thank you again for any hints and help Therese |

Hi Therese,
I'm, not familiar with ImageReady, although I've just been readiong a couple of tutorials about it. The first thing that springs to mind is the stacking order of the elements. I'm not sure if this is critical, but elements 3 and 7 seem to be incorrectly stacked.. ie. they're sitting on top of higher elements. In the case of 3, this sits on top of 4, which could explain the lack of the horizontal banner, and slice 2 is missing.. possibly from being stacked before 1? Perhaps the first thing to try is to take down all the elemments and restack them in order from element 1 onwards. Again, I'm not familiar with the application, so hopefully someone else knows more here.. Cheers Liam
