Problems uploding ftp files

My website is hosted by virgin. I can upload via ftp to my web site but only by using virgin's dial up service. When I try to upload via my bt broadband the connection is refused! Any ideas why this should happen?

Thanks

Re: Problems uploding ftp files

Im assuming your site has subfolders, thing is with my hosting that i dont need to use any path (as www.test.com/"mysite") to upload my stuff but only name of of the main ftp server.Perhaps host redirects me automatically through my dns adress. On other case dunno if this helps ,but try to enter full ftp adress to your domain, cheers srry i couldnt be of more asistance
