Setting up a web server on network
Hi guys,
I am working for a Doctor's office and we are wanting to create a very simple web site. We have all the computers on a domain and the server is Windows Server 2003. Originally I had just thought it would be as simple as putting Apache on the server machine, however I believe this has caused a conflict with the internal intranet site built into server 2003 because it said the service could not start. We want to keep the intranet site, is there anyway to have both running on the same computer? If not I can set up a linux web server to do the job, im just curious as to how I would access that box behind the router and firewall and all that. To access any of the computers at work we just remote to the server and then go from the server to the machine we want so that is where I was wondering how to connect directly to a machine. Thanks for any help guys. |
