Webhosting with Auto Transfer?

Please excuse the stupidity of some of this. We're pretty new on the subject. I'm looking for a webhosting service that has auto transfer of our sites from our current location (just the space at our dialup) to their servers. Does anybody know of a good service that does this?

It would take a very long time for us to ftp our files to the new location on the slow dialup service we have. Part of the reason for wanting to do this is to move from the dialup, but I want to be up on the new server before I do that.

What are you looking for Dedicated or Shared hosting?

I'm pretty dumb about these things. Just been using the webspace that's come with our dialup account right now. I think Shared hosting. Could you explain the difference?
