Mail server not working

I downloaded apache2triad. I've love it, but i just can't get the mail server working on it. It has php Xmail. can anyone help get this to work? I'm using windows. I know someone is gonna say why am i not using IIS, thats because i like apache and apache2triad makes it so much easier to run.

What SMTP server are you using? If you haven't installed one, then you'll need to if you want to send/receive mail.

i don't think i have an smpt server installed. anyone have any free ones that they would suggest?

does windows xp pro have a smtp services already on it? (i'm at school right now i can't check my my computer)

I'm only familiar with Linux based SMTP servers. One of the Windows guys will have to answer this. I'm pretty sure there's at least something, I just don't know what it is.
