my personal favorites is Godaddy.com For under $50 per year you can transfer your domain to them and also purchase hosting. Windows or linux, doesn't matter; they provide both for the same price. They offer tons of storage and bandwidth allotment. Plus they allow full DNS control to making transfering your domain easy. Check em out. I just moved my companies website to them from another hosting provider and they are great.

Grin Three references

Cheap, but never used before, I I heard good things from it. godaddy.com...most likely my future host for 2007.

When I first started I used geo-hosting.com. Not too much space but for a start up site it was good and simple. You'll get a hosting going here for around $75 USD. The space is around 200MB or so.

The one I'm currently using it is startlogic.com. I love the email interface and the control panel. I most likely will be leaving them end of 2006 because they don't support ASP.NET 2.0 and they said that they have been working on it, but it's been almost a year and nothing. I host here for 2GB of space on a Windows server for $120.00 USD

hostmonster.com ... it ends up being 5 dollars a month, has a RIDICULOUS plan ... 250 GB of storage, unlimited e-mail addresses, UNLIMITED DOMAINS can link to the same server ... check it out.

Re: Help on Web Hosting Service

One thing you need to decide is if you'll be using PHP or ASP scripts. This will determine if you need to find a Windows or Linux based webhost. ASP scripts are only really supprted by Windows servers. PHP is supported by both Windows and Linux servers. Also, do your research before picking a webhost. If the price seems too good to be true, it just may be.
