Question dreamweaver

hope someone can help me? Im doing a website using dreamweaver. Firstly i have a a banner in the first column of a table, then it splits into 2 columns. The left side is for the links and the middle is for the content. my problem being the links, i put another table in that column, everytime i put more content in to the middle section that is bigger than the actual page the links table moves and its getting very frustrating, can anyone tell me how to stop this from happening?

Thanks!

your problem might be simpler to solve if you can upload the problematic page, or post the code, are either of those possible?
Also, this book has a decent tutorial for css layouts with Dreamweaver, you'll never need tables for formatting again after css. There's also a book for Dreamweaver 8 if you have the new version.
