flash player question

Are all browsers nowadays equipped to handle swf's without a plugin, or are there still some out there without it?

I know I can't do Flash without a plug-in for FireFox. Just put it in this one today.

I have always had to reinstall flash after a nuke when using firefox.

Also, with IE Flash comes preinstalled, but it's usually version 5 or 6, thus sites designed with Flash 7 or 8 sometimes complain that the latest version is not installed, or the page just doesn't display properly.
