Exclamation Converting Rss to Javascript

Does anyone know exaclty how to convert rss to javascript? I have no idea which part of the rss code you are suppose to copy and paste into the converter box! I've just been randomly copying and pasting lines and none of them have worked. I would love to see a screen shot if anyone knows where I could see one.

Thanks,
Heather

Use a service such as:

http://www.rss-to-javascript.com/

You just simply copy + paste the code that needs to be inserted into the conversion tool. The site which you want to get an RSS feed on usually explains on how to do it. The above link is a bit more in depth. I suggest going with the following link:

FeedRoll

The code from that site would look something like this:

Code:
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="http://www.feedroll.com/rssviewer/view_rss.php?type=js&source_id=22775&feed_width=200&frame_color=black&title_textcolor=black&title_bgcolor=white&box_textcolor=black&box_bgcolor=white&feed_showborder=0&feed_spacing=2&feed_align=left&feed_textsize=12&feed_textfont=Times New Roman, serif&feed_maxitems=15&feed_desclimit=&feed_compact=1&feed_xmlbutton=0&link_openblank=1"></script>
If you need any more information on RSS feeds, I am more than happy to help

The problem with simply putting the contents of an RSS feed into a converter is that it won't be automatically updated. So what you really need to do is something like Grove suggested, where you simply point it to the RSS file on the web, so that it can automatically update itself, rather than going by what you put in, where it might as well just be static HTML.
