How to make alexa bot ignore our site.

Our site just went way over on bandwidth becuase of a bot called Alexa (IA Archiver). To ignore this i would place a text file called robots.exe and write User-agent: Alexa
Disallow: /

is that correct?

I think there's a meta tag along the lines of "nocache" that does that...I don't know it off the top of my head though.

That should be correct, if Alexa is the correct name of the bot. I haven't seen that one in my logs yet. The file is Robots.txt.
