How do i host a website

Hey guys,

I have developed a personal website for marketing puropses.

Web site have HTML , MP3 and Flash Files ( *.swf ) .

All these files are on my computer.

I need to Deploy

First I need a domain name : ( www. my web .com )

Second i need Less Space for hosting coz my files size are at max ( 100 mb ).

Please list me various option of web hosting company or service provider.

Plzz also gimme their respective website, where i can learn more about them.

you named the topic how to host a website, but then you ask for providers.

If you want to host your own download apache and install it, its very easy to do. Then just edit your httpd.conf, open 80 on your router, and that should be about it.

If you are looking for hosts I have used www.cinerhost.com before I hosted myself and really liked them. If you google something around "top webhosts" there is all sorts of sites that rank differnet webhosts and users have reviews about them.

Like tgo said, if you want to host your site from your own program, Apache's the way to go. As for getting good host I suggest you use http://smartconsumers.infinology.com...arpluspre.html

BrianG here again. If you look at the bottom of this page, the hostingireland link is there as an ad. just click it and then in the address bar add the text "?aid=bgeraghty" (without quotes) at the end. You will get it cheaper than the listed price.
