vbulletin help

I hope I'm in the right place to post this. I am trying to install a vbulletin forum and on step 2 I keep getting this error that I don't understand.

Attempting to attach to database

Warning: mysql_errno(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /hsphere/local/home/levodevo/levdub.com/vbulletin/upload/includes/db_mysql.php on line 140

The database has failed to connect because you do not have permission to connect to the server. Please confirm the values entered in the 'includes/config.php' file.

What the heck does that mean? What have I done wrong? Please help!!

Could be that you've entered the wrong information required to attach to your MySQL database. Username, Password and database name etc.

Yes, I contacted my host and we figured it out. But it turned out that I didn't even like vbulletin lol.
