What are problems with webdesign today and solutions?

As a topic for me graduating I picked web design as my topic, it's a portfolio that I have to put together for my school and it's a technical school and I will get 2 degrees when I finish,.I'm only in the 12th grade and need help because no one else will help me, can anyone be kind enough to tell me what is a problem in the web design field and what could be done as a solution for that problem or those problems?

Re: What are problems with webdesign today and solutions?

It's against forum rules to help people do their homework. We can help in more of an abstract way in that we can help you through doing the homework yourself, but in this case we couldn't just write your report for you.

A few TOPICS I can think of off-hand:
* Globalization - a person can charge a lot less when they don't need to live on as much money as an American.
* Browser standards - not all browsers have the same level of standards. Most commonly complained about is Internet Explorer. Also, users in other countries (especially in Asia) do not adopt latest browser technologies and some even still use IE5. This in turn makes it difficult to develop cutting-edge web sites.
* Ad blocking software - can take away from revenue a site can make and thus make the site more expensive to run and support.

Those should get you off and running with your report :)

Re: What are problems with webdesign today and solutions?

I apologize.. I just need help.. can I get an idea or a few details at least? I have no one to really help me at all, not trying to break rules but man.. since I been at my school they took my out of web design and put me in digital design.. some how it's to late to change eventhough I have done web design 2 years in a row.
