Exclamation [SOLVED] Issue implementing flash :: works with safari but not firefox!

Hi,

I'm having problems with two different web projects implementing flash galleries. They work perfectly with Safari.

Here are links to the two projects:
1. http://www.jollyhollylights.com/gallery2.html
2. http://www.laurieschillinger.com/index2.html

#1 shows up in safari, but not Firefox for Mac or IE.
#2 shows up in safari and IE, but not Firefox for Mac.

what am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Nathan

Re: Issue implementing flash :: works with safari but not firefox!

I just checked and it is installed.

Also, I have luck running these same flash apps when they are implemented differently (such as, when it is the only thing on the page), so I know it isn't a problem with flash being installed.

what browser did you use? if it shows up, then we're good. I can't change the config settings yet because it will break the working version (which is using the same files!)

also, the other page is using a different player! so .. why isn't that showing up either...

Re: Issue implementing flash :: works with safari but not firefox!

Check your settings for scripts and javascripts in Firefox and any addons you have installed.

I've just viewed your 2 websites in Firefox (with the NoScript addon installed).

With scripts/flash blocked by NoScript, Jolly Holly Lights shows a blank area where the menu should be. With scripts/flash allowed, it shows 2 animated clickable images that lead into the Lights and Wreaths sections.

Same with the Laura Schillinger site. With scripts blocked I can see the 3 images for Bio, Video and Audio, but they are not clickable until I allow scripts.

Re: Issue implementing flash :: works with safari but not firefox!

No need to change any players. Both sites work perfectly, but you need to make sure scripts are not being blocked in Firefox.
