FireFox, Safari, website appearance different and some web page buttons dont work

I recently noticed my website appears different on Firefox and Safari. Colors look fine, but the graphic artwork elements are missing.

A few days ago..I placed a link to a video to Vimeo.com. Vimeo required me to run a "diagnostic" to trouble shoot an issue. After this diagnostic, half of my webpage buttons failed to engage.

(After this, i noticed my wireless airport express light was no longer green, but flashing amber. I reset it and it did not change the situation.)

The buttons work on other browsers except Firefox. On Safari, half the buttons works, and the ones that dont work on FF I am able to hover BELOW them and engage them.

If you are looking at the page, buttons on the left work, but buttons on the right do not.

My webhosting provider insists it is a browser issue and will not walk me through troubleshooting

In other browsers, it looks and operates perfect. Friends of mine that have firefox and safari have the exact same problem viewing my website.

I emptied the cache. did not help
I reset the proxy configurations to auto. did not help
I removed and recreated the pages on my web builder. did not help
I published a known working previous version. did not help.

I moved the pages to different locations: this worked. but then the buttons that defaulted to where the non working buttons were located on the page failed as well. (There is no way for me to change the template as it is provided by the host)

I changed the navigation. It worked, but the page now looks weird.

I have searched the internet ad nauseum for help and can't find it.

my computer is a mac OS X dual

suggestions please....
thank you

update:
I downloaded an older version (2.0) of Firefox and now my webpage works, but is slow to load...
anyone know of a way to use the new version without the problems I have been having?

i just remembered i also downloaded the latest update for safari right before this happened.
