Speed Tester

Hi all,

I really like your guys internet speed tester. I was wondering if you guys can direct me to a link or tutorial on how to make a simple speed test like you guys have done? I am creating a website for my house and wanted to create something like this for my family to use, instead of going to some external site to test my speed.

I'm curious on how u guys have accomplished this?

Any help would be awesome.

Thanks in advance,

JeKyL

Re: Speed Tester

Thanks for your reply, but what you wrote is for showing an IP address. If you look at www.techsupportforum.com and look to the right of the page they have a speed test.

I am curious about how that was created.

Thanks JeKyL

Re: Speed Tester

www.speedtest.net and www.speakeasy.com are two great speed testing resources. Just ALWAYS clear your cache files before running.

Re: Speed Tester

Thanks for all the replies guys, I do prefer speedtest.net, but the original question was how to design a speed tester like you guys have on the homepage.

How can this be done? maybe with php or some other prog. lang.
