I keep an Apache server running at home so I can build everything using LOCALHOST, then I use FlashFXP to upload everything once I'm happy with it.
I'd like to find something that just takes care of uploading only files that are new or have a more recent 'last modified' time. It's not like I'm lazy (tho I really am) it's more that I keep missing little things, like uploading 20 thumbs I created but forgetting the larger files and wondering why they never load. |

Re: suggestion for local to host sync?
If you're working right out of htdocs wouldn't that be all you need? I also run a home server and do my editing with Dreamweaver. As I work it just replaces the initial data with the new.

Re: suggestion for local to host sync?
firstly, i love that Saber is your avvy. awesome.
I use the htdocs folder for my home server, but this is ONLY for me, I use it to see what my sight is looking like before I upload anything, in case an edit to a page may turn out wrong then have to be fixed. I don't use dreamweaver (just never learned it tho I can get a copy from school) and I don't think HTML-Kit can do FTP, even so I still want to edit all my home stuff then have a program that just 'syncs' the ftp site with anything new |
