freewebs help
I am having problems creating a link. I highlight a word, go to the create a link button, choose the page I wanna link to (on my own account) then click create link.
It works on the edit page but when I preview the page, the link will not work. Please help me create a link, |

Re: freewebs help
With this type of problem, you would be better off consulting Freewebs' help services. There isn't much we can do if you're following the correct procedure for creating links.

Re: freewebs help
I have never used freewebs, but if you can get into a text editor--if you can't, run away--try this little snippet. It is, of course, free of charge lol. Just be sure to give me credit and all that. I'll email you the copyright, trademark, and all that. Not too big, just 3,000 +/- characters.
The above is mostly a joke. Below is absolutely serious though. Absolutely free :-) Code:

Re: freewebs help
I use Freewebs. They won't provide support for free accounts. The snippet given by Ahmorrow will work only if you have converted your account as advanced user account wherein you put all the codes manually. But your description gives me an ideation that you are using Freeweb's editing tool. So, these are the procedures I follow when I use their free tool.
1. Login to your account, click on the page you want to edit. 2. that will take you to "webs site builder" (displayed on the left upper corner of the page). 3. You'll see bars in each paragraphs which will have "edit | delete | move up |" etc... 4. Click 'edit' , "websedit" will open. 5. select the text you want your page to be linked to and click on "insert HyperLink" button (small green globe with small chain - icon). 6. Pop-up window opens up, click "link to my pages" (thatz what u wanted to do, right?) 7. next page shows you all your pages. Selct one you want to link and hit "create link" 8. Now the text turns blue with underline, indicating it is a link. 9. click on "done" button on the right corner. 10. You'll be taken back to the previous page (as it looked in step 2) but with your new text added there with the new link u created. Now if you click on that link, it will take you to the page to which you liked it.. but u are not yet done.. 11. Final step, (and I think you are missing it out) is to click once again on "done" button which is green in color on the right upper corner of the page. Then, the page will take you back to your "edit pages" (the page you got immidately after logging in to freewebs). 12. Now open up new IE window and type in your url and check the link. and it should work if you followed these steps correctly. when I wrote this, I create myself a link to my page on my website following these steps. You can verify it at http://www.rhythmicdias.webs.com and the link is "canon S3 IS" which will take u to my photoalbum page. Enjoy.. hope this helps. |
