PHP Input text format?
Hi all!
I'm in the process of building a site where my client will be able to post daily/weekly updates on the homepage in a blog/twitter type fashion... I've got the system working perfectly and it's coming along nicely - however, there's one thing that's now stumped me... Is there a way the client can change the text as they are typing it, in terms of colour, weight, size, etc? Much like the text system here in fact! (I'm using PHP) I'm thinking something along the lines of a small 'control panel' on the admin page with a choice of sizes/colours, etc. Any help would be much appreciated!! Colin |

Re: PHP Input text format?
Hi,
Are you going to host the site, or is this site being hosted by anothe company. There is the option of install the wordpress software on a server and then running their CMS and using that to create the blogs. It would seem easiest to me to do it that way. I don't know what your thoughts are about that. Cheers!

Re: PHP Input text format?
Thanks for the tips wmorri!
I'm ultimately going to be hosting the site (once I start charging!), so I think the wordpress option is the best for me. I was just wondering if there was another way round it...in terms of storing samples of code within the database entry - but I don't know if tags will work when pulled into the page. In fact, I'm going to fiddle about with that now - I know chances are I'll be heading down the wordpress route, but I love to learn little things like this along the way! Cheers Colin |
