Web Log-in

Hi,
I run a pretty simple website for my swim team. I have been asked if I can create a section where people type in a username and password and then their times and only their times appear. Does anybody know an online tool or something that will allow me to do this? I have access to the Fantastico panel on my computer so if any of those will help please let me know.

Thanks a lot guys! any ideas would be awesome.

Re: Web Log-in

Nothing in Fantastico really jumps out at me as the perfect solution. There may be some custom script out there that does this...but you may also need to script it yourself, unfortunately.

Re: Web Log-in

you could just create a file in notepad/word that lists all of the times in a table, and they have to find their name, it's not exactly what you would need, but it would do

Re: Web Log-in

My first thought was to use some sort of membership application - like a forum. The user control page for each member can only be accessed by that member and administrators.

After thinking a bit more, I wonder if Joomla has something like that.

You might check Webmaster-talk.com for some ideas, too.

Re: Web Log-in

Write a PHP script that the user can log into and echos their data out on a page. Simple.
