Dreamweaver Code and Design

I am an oldie trying to do web pages using Dreamweaver 8.I don't know what I've done but now I can't get it to change out of code view.Any help really appreciated.

There are three icons. 'Code' 'Split' and 'Design'. If you are unable to see these use the menus along the top and go to View where you will see the three options.

I found that in View under Preferences the open in Code view had got HTML on it.Something silly I had done but don't know how.
