Roll Eyes NEWBIE Website

HI I am new on here and I just purchased a website about a month and half ago and I definitely have people coming to the site to see but they are not buying? Can someone please take a look and see what can be the problem? I have a few social marketing sites that I promote on and that is where I am getting people to look, but no sales?

Re: NEWBIE Website

Well, it's kind of hard to see what's going on without a link. Please provide one.

Re: NEWBIE Website

You're not getting buyers because A) your site does not look legit. B) your site has a card-acceptance image that says "My Card" in it, which usually suggest you just want credit card details rather than actually knowing which types of credit/debit cards you accept. and C) because there are so many other sites like this and because the market is dominated by OTHER companies. You have too much competition, and from a personal standpoint i'm out.

Sorry and cheers for posting,
Jamey

Re: NEWBIE Website

A. I am not understanding why it does not look legit? B. the card thing I need to remove it I accept visa, mc, amex, & DC C. I understand there is a lot of the competition out there, but there is competition in everything you do! Thanks

Re: NEWBIE Website

The legitimacy issue is that you have no obvious "About Us" page, nor do you post any form of address(be it e-mail/snail-mail), also things like "Languages:" then only the union jack, just rid of it. Anyway i'm going too far into this, as i said i'm out.

And yes there's competition in every market but you'll find your market is the biggest on the web, with around 3 new sites a day (fact from a popular web spider). Personally, i do not support your market nor am i going to help you sell.

Again I am Out. I will post back to give pointers but i will give no actual help, dm01 may feel differently about replying but that's down to what his reply is.

Re: NEWBIE Website

I agree with Jamey on this one. I'm not even sure this is within the Rules. Look at www.webpagesthatsuck.com and figure it out from there.

Firstly, i'm glad i'm not the only one.

And secondly, it's not strictly against the rules, for me it's a personal judgement. And all i can say is i thank you for the mature content warning (which is probably what keeps it on this side of the rules).

End of the day ZoeySO; people look at your site and think "I can get this from someone reputable". The market is taken, you're not going to get a lot of business and i'm glad. (Again that's a personal note, i keep saying this because i'm not saying it's the view of this forum or any of the other members on it, it's my own personal opinion)
