images view different in IE vs. firefox

hello all,

I'm having trouble fixing my code for my website so that internet explorer doesn't mangle it up.

I coded for firefox, and everything works and looks fine in firefox, but when I look at my site in internet explorer, my header image (banner) is duplicated, one on top of the other.
I can't figure out how to fix it.

I'm using basic html, with css for layout. The banner image on top of each page is a div tag in the html page with the name of the class; and in the css page its simply a #image_1 { blah blah blah}.

you need to add

HTML Code:

background-repeat: no-repeat

to the CSS above.
