[SOLVED] weird error in dreamweaver code for website

we are having a weird large quotation appear/disappear on some and/or all of our pages and cannot seem to get rid of it. does anyone know of a similar issue with this kind of error?

there is no visible code giving us this error in our templates and yet it is showing up on the live version.

Any help on where to look or how to begin fixing would be great!

Thanks!

Welcome to TSF!

Open the page in your web browser, right-click the page, and select View Source.

Copy the text from the Notepad in your next post.

Re: weird error in dreamweaver code for website

it won't let me "view source" from the webpage and since I'm new to this forum (or any forum like this), I am hesitant to copy directly from dreamweaver. how much code should I copy?

Kath, Hi

Can you give a link to the pages?

www.cityofallen.org is the main page and all of the pages look great except for the Public and Media relations page where this weird thing pops up...

Re: weird error in dreamweaver code for website

OK Kath

I can see there is a large, odd " that seems to be involved with the menu that is dropping the banner heading after the menu.

I have looked at the source code briefly but unable to spot it straight away.

Unfortunately, I too have run out of time...its 23: 30 here & I will not have time to look at it again for a few days until next year!

The menu code on the home page and the media page generating the menu seem to be identical... the whole thing needs a careful checking to see where the miscreant " is coming from

Re: weird error in dreamweaver code for website

Hope you had a happy new year! That small piece of post earlier helped me locate where it the menu code to look and I think we've solved it!

Thanks so much for your help in pointing me in the right direction!
