Signing up on website for program help
So since im using freewebs (since i cant find anything else that i can use i mean like weebly and all of those but i like this one better i guess but if youll can recommend hosting with free domain NOT SUBDOMAIN too then i can take that or if someone could tell me a way to use my computer as a web hosting server i mean ive already downloaded apache and got it configured but i dont want to pay for that service where you have to get something pointed at your ip adress or whatever) but anyway how would i get that to work with my program.
Like they enter a username, password, email and then they open my program and they can use it with the username they just created. |

Re: Signing up on website for program help
You'll either have to pay for a top level domain name, or for a hosting package that includes a domain registration. The only way to get both for free is to use a sub-domain.
Since (it appears) you have a program you want to run on your site, you'll have to find a host that allows server-side scripting. Many free-hosts do not have this service available because of the potential for mis-use. I have found Dot5 to have a good, inexpensive service that includes a domain name and permits php, MySql, and several other server-side script languages. The only way to use your computer as a host is to get a static IP address, and most ISP's charge extra for that. If you need more help, please post more details about what you want to do and what specific questions you need answered.
