I'm administrating a forum using phpBB 2.0.22. I want to know how to :
1. pick what fields users can fill out when registering on my forum. 2. prevent anyone from seeing new users as well as new posts until I approve them. Currently, they are able to register but cannot sign in until I activate their accounts. However, even at that point, they show up in the list of registered members. Can I get any help with this? Thank you, ObibiniKwasi |

as far as the fields for them to fill out all of that should be in your admin panel under user/groups and then your user options. um number two. if you have all your forums/boards permissions set for members only to view write or reply.. no guest then that should take care of that. but as far as not seeing a user that is not yet activated. members or guest should not be able to see any new registered members until they are activated.. when you saying there showing up in the list of registered members do you mean the list at the bottom of the forum, or members list being in your navigation bar? either way it should be an easy fix to not allow anyone seeing a member in the list that is not yet activated.. but i need to know if your on a free host such as forumotion. or if you have a paid board ware you have ti install/upload certain modules to do certain things. so i would say check all your user options in the admin panel first. then come back here and let us know if it's paid or free, and possibly the link to ware you created your forum. i have a few of my own free and a paid board that is free for just testing things, it's not open another words. so hope that helps a Lil. just came back here. i'm sure even the staff and admins here know about phppb boards too.
