the "submit button"

Hi,
I am creating a webpage for my client and I am trying to have the "submit" button go to email without the customer knowing. Currently, in the test mode, my outlook opens up for a new email. how do I, in html, have the submit button go to email?

Thanks,
Castlebuns

Re: the "submit button"

Hey, you can't do that entirely in a client side language... You need something server-side (e.g. PHP/ASP)... Theres tutorials on this(PHP based) here: http://www.w3schools.com/php/php_ref_mail.asp

Of course if you don't know PHP you'd need to learn it, theres an amazing range of tutorials here: www.w3schools.com

Cheers,
Jamey

Re: the "submit button"

$to = $_POST['email'];
$sub = $_POST['sub'];
$msg = 'blah blah blah';

if($_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] == 'submit') {
mail($to,$sub,$msg) or die('errored');
}

clean the vars
