POST Data Not Being Sent - Only Half the Time
Hey all,
I have two identical sites being hosted - one for production purposes and one for staging. The production site operates the way it should, however the staging site not so much. The site consists of a web form of two text fields and then the Submit button. Here is the code for the Submit button: <input type="image" name="LoginImageButton" onclick="if (typeof(Page_ClientValidate) == 'function') Page_ClientValidate(); " language="javascript" id="LoginImageButton" vspace="2" src="/images/en/login_bttn.gif" alt="Login" border="0" /> When I enter the data "xxxxx" and submit, it brings back the login page again but with an error displaying that the data is not of correct format, which is exactly what it should do. It must be in an email format. So when you enter "xxx@xxx.com" the page gives a 302 error and redirects to an error page, which it shouldn't do! Using firebug on the firefox browser I see that when the data "xxx@xxx.com" is submitted, there is no POST data. When the "@" and ".com" is left out there is POST data. All other headers and SSL certificates and such are identical. The web server is linux-based (redhat enterprise 5) using Squid and SSL. My first guess would be to check into the actual web content located on the server, but I cannot do that at the moment. Hope my thread makes sense. If you need more information let me know. Any ideas? |

Re: POST Data Not Being Sent - Only Half the Time
hey could you post the entirety of your code so we can see what's going on in "Page_ClientValidate"? or possibly link to the site?
Cheers, Jamey |
