Re: Need help to increase the page rank of website!!!

1) Always keep your content fresh and informative. Make sure it reflects your business and market accurately and keep it interesting enough to keep users wanting to come back - and most especially, cite your website around the web. For instance, if you have an online flower shop where you ship flowers to customers around your state - you could always have a plain shopping cart site that just has your products...or you could spice it up and post weekly how-to articles on flowers and planting in general, maybe something like "Green Thumb Weekly" or some catchy title to make sure people around the web are posting your articles as credible sources. Google loves this kind of stuff.

2) On a similar note, try to form relationships with other credible web sites with high page rankings. If, say, 1800flowers.com had your link on their website...their page rank of 7/10 would reflect favorably towards your website because they are citing you as a credible source. This is a double-edged sword, however - you don't want to forge relationships with sites that are found to be malicious in any way. Sites on Google's malicious site index will make them question your credibility.

3) Google spiders (Googlebot) and many other search engine spiders "crawl" your entire site and any URL on it and stores all of the information they find on their databases. Many times if your site is built in a very fluid manner that makes it easy to crawl, they will find everything - but not always. This is why it's good to have a site map. Here's some information on how Google likes sitemaps to be made:

There are lots of sitemap generators out there - I prefer KeyLimeTie because it's so easy and can be set to automatically sitemap ANY/ALL of your sites and has lots of options to customize your sitemaps (like excluding "admin" folders for instance). It also does other kinds of sitemaps like HTML and TXT files - which a few search engines still utilize instead of XML...

4) Use Google Webmaster Tools. It's free, so there's really no reason for people not to at least check it out:

Those are what I can think of right now off the top of my head...I'm sure other people have more ideas...
