Web page address issue

I'm hoping someone can help me with what I hope is a simple problem (I am a complete novice).

I'm using Dreamweaver and have updated and uploaded my index.html file into the pullic_html folder. I am sure the file is uploaded to the right place.

I can not view the updates to the webpage when I type www in the url address. eg. If I just type http://website.com in the adress bar it brings the new site up.

Have tried this on different computers and the problem remains so I assuming its not a problem with my compter.

Any suggestions/help would be much appreciated.

Re: Web page address issue

This is just a stab in the dark, but...

- Do you happen to have 2 index files in your root directory? Check if there is an "index.html" AND an "index.htm" file. Sometimes that can happen when you accidentally saved your file during updates with the wrong extension...
