Web Easy Pro 7
Okay, I am new to this forum, but I do believe I will become a regular as I navigate through being an untrained web designer!
I use Web Easy Pro 7 for two sites, my own personal site and a company site that I was charged with making. I have to admit they are both VERY rudimentary! In regards to the company website, I need to install a counter on it, but it does not seem to stay where I put it when I publish. Now, I understand that this is a forum for techie's, which I am not, but i do need help. Is anyone out there familier with Web Easy Pro 7? I have read some of the old stuff and it was good information that I have printed out so that I can refer to in times of need! Thanks in advance for helping me through this! Sincerely Janet |

Re: Web Easy Pro 7
I'm not familiar with WebEasyPro7 but i'll try help anyway, how have you added the counter?
Can you give us the code of the site(so we can work it out)... And exactly how does it move? (e.g. which direction and how far) Cheers, Jamey |

Re: Web Easy Pro 7
The problem with Web Easy is that I cannot adjust the code. I am such a novice and quite embarrassed by this site. www.dylanmotorsports.com I just want to put the counter on the homepage, but when i insert object, then visitor counter, it shows a graphic which you are supposed to be able to add a link to from the counter. When it inserts on the to page, it gives me what looks like a text box, and a graphic next to it that has numbers and such.when i click into the text box, it turns white and has the word Visitor in it, which I just figured out that the font needs to be white, because my back ground is black. Then you click on the graphic to the right and it gives you the options of inserting a link. I have found the code to be embedded into the image, but web easy argues with me saying it is not a real url address. I pasted it anyway. In theory it should work, right? I am going to post it to my site, then you can maybe check the site to see what the heck I did? I am not crazy about not being able to see the code and maybe make a small change (which i can do in limited form) in the program. Thanks in advance!

Re: Web Easy Pro 7
hmm, i'm still finding it hard to work out what's going on, is the counter you mention the same as the one on the dylanMFG site?
As for the whole code thing, you'll find that some (bad) wysiwyg editors wont show you the code... If you want to learn to code sites from scratch theres a brilliant set of tutorials here: www.w3schools.com (HTML would be where you want to start)... As i said it's hard to work out what's going on... Post back with more info... Cheers, Jamey |

Re: Web Easy Pro 7
Well i guess i need a "good"wysisyg editor. I can do a bit of html, not much, probably just enough to get in trouble. Do you know of any good ones that are newbie friendly? I tried coffecup! Not so much! Thanks for your help! I appreciate it.
