Re: htmlelp- frontpage or me???

hey again burnboy,

I found one error within the code, but this will depend on the testing browser you're trying to use... can i just ask which it is? I use firefox, after having taken a look in the error console i found "event is not defined line: 98".

Which i took a look at and was this:
Code:
function Mouse(evnt){
ymouse = (ns)?evnt.pageY+ClockFromMouseY-(window.pageYOffset):event.y+ClockFromMouseY;
xmouse = (ns)?evnt.pageX+ClockFromMouseX:event.x+ClockFromMouseX;
}
which i then turned into this:
Code:
function Mouse(e){
var evnt = !e?event:e;
ymouse = (ns)?evnt.pageY+ClockFromMouseY-(window.pageYOffset):evnt.y+ClockFromMouseY;
xmouse = (ns)?evnt.pageX+ClockFromMouseX:evnt.x+ClockFromMouseX;
}
My explanation of this is that the script has been set up to use evnt rather than event and then it uses both.

If you wan't an in depth explanation then post back...

It should work now, if it doesn't then post back.

If you haven't yet tried firefox (even if only as a testing browser) then i really do suggest it [FF3 is now out].

Cheers,
Jamey

Re: htmlelp- frontpage or me???

Hey, is it frontpage that's telling you that they're wrong, because that can't be right.

Line 1 char 2 is the html tag?

Hmm, it might be wise to test the page in either IE or Firefox rather than letting frontpage tell you what's "wrong" because i can't see anything.

Cheers,
Jamey

Re: htmlelp- frontpage or me???

sometimes there are errors that say "Error in Line 1 char 1 or 2" which dont make sense. But usually come from errors in the center of the script.

Sometimes :)

Question Re: htmlelp- frontpage or me???

I also noticed no doctype declared? Good idea to add at the top of the document. It may not help with the errors in the document, but ya never know, right?

Link below for setting doctype with frontpage.
