Color Compliments

Hey all,

I'm making a site and it is suppose to be purple and gold. I'm wondering what shades of purple and gold would compliment each other and make the site pleasing to the eyes. Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Color Compliments

Hi Regcom!

I usually have to play around with colors before they look right to me, so I don't have great advice on the subject. I do have a couple of sites that "maybe" could help you in your hunt for the perfect shades

Adobe Labs

Webmaster Color Laboratory
-- I like this one a lot because you can see multiple color effects on text as well as how they look next to each other.

Good luck!

Re: Color Compliments

its difficult to come up with a right combination when it comes to different shades within the same colors. It usually takes a creating the site that appeals to you then ask others what they think. Personally I like light backgrounds and dark letterings but its going to depend upon the content thats included and the subject matter.
