Hi Regcom!
I usually have to play around with colors before they look right to me, so I don't have great advice on the subject. I do have a couple of sites that "maybe" could help you in your hunt for the perfect shades ![]() Adobe Labs Webmaster Color Laboratory -- I like this one a lot because you can see multiple color effects on text as well as how they look next to each other. its difficult to come up with a right combination when it comes to different shades within the same colors. It usually takes a creating the site that appeals to you then ask others what they think. Personally I like light backgrounds and dark letterings but its going to depend upon the content thats included and the subject matter.
