viewing my website using an ip address

I am a teacher developing a website for my school. I have the site on my machine at the school, which I can access using localhost. however when I use a different machine and try to connect to my machine using the IP address of my machine it say cannot find server.

The school machine is connected to an internal network (intranet) and outside computers cannot access that unless they have the proper credentials.

At the school, add your home ip to your local intranet list. That should allow you to view what you need.
