web desing fee?
How much would you charge for a customer who needs a web design made on flash or html? I hope I'm not on a wrong thread.

Re: web desing fee?
Hey royax, this all depends on a number of factors...
1) time spent creating the site 2) technicality of the site 3) amount of pages 4) setup/maintenance fees? 5) your personal skill Okay so you need to set a quote, i have friends who will quote anywhere from £2000-£15000(about a month to 6 month jobs)... whom are extreemly skilled... There are also a number of corporations who have a number of developers who will charge small design fees £400-£1000 Also you will find per-page charges (normally a lot cheaper than the previously stated charges)... Heres something to do, get a designer to quote you for a job... but specifically say that you are not interested in fulfilling the contract.... again you'll need more information to get an exact price... what sort of price were you thinking of? Cheers, Jamey |

Re: web desing fee?
For me, it always depends on how big the site is, what is actually going to be done, and what kind of work that would require. Basic web page design is cheaper than web application development with PHP/MySQL etc.

no matter who you are doing sites for you need a contract. see the following for a sample contract and additional information. http://www.wilsonweb.com/worksheet/pkg-con.htm http://www.impax-media.com/gd1.htm

Re: web desing fee?
Yes, ALWAYS lay down the law before starting the site. I've tried to be a nice guy too many times and I end up resenting them because I didn't draw everything up first thing. :P
