upgrading user permissions with php/mysql gives blank page
Tried posting this in the site management section, got zilch, so trying here..Please let me know if I should reframe question of provide more info or whatever, thanks
Hi I run a small community website built with wordpress (v1.5). I've set the permissions so that new users can register themselves to post comments but I have to upgrade their permissions before they can post up stories. It's all been working fine for years, but suddenly the file users.php does not amend the users details in the database. It just goes to a blank page, no error message. I've found that I can upgrade users by accessing the mysql database directly with phpMyAdmin 2.11.1, so I deduce that the database must be working ok. The file users.php has not changed (at least I, as sole admin, haven't changed it). The only thing I can think of that has changed since it all worked ok is the total number of users, about 700 now. And the date obviously. Any help gratefully receievd opaz Other info: MySQL client is version: 5.0.22 Server version: 5.0.27-standard-log Protocol version: 10 Server: cust-mysql02 via TCP/IP MySQL charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8) |
