Individual url addresses - Web Easy Pro 7
I have a website www.sapien-solutions.co.uk. All my page titles are set up how I want them but but no matter what page on the www one looks at the url address is only www.sapien-solutions.co.uk. How can I set it up so I can direct people to specific pages on the website (say for instance by sending a link in an email to a specific page)? Thanks for your help. S

Re: Individual url addresses - Web Easy Pro 7
Your site is using frames to display content; instead of linking to a whole other page, the site serves the middle bit in a separate frame. This way, you don't have to mess around with making each page look the same, just changing the middle bit is good enough.
The main problems are compatibility and obsolescence. Not every browser supports frames, and frames are becoming obsolete in favour of, well, not using them. There are alternatives, but they take time and effort to implement. If you're interested in getting rid of frames, please post back and we will make every effort to assist you. :) Good luck.

Re: Individual url addresses - Web Easy Pro 7
Hey, what i find intriguing is your site's lack of proper use of frames(This is web easy's fault btw)... It's using the first frame to pad the left hand side of the site... Whilst the right hand redirects to a new page with the same menu (re-written, which i'd expect to be in a seperate frame in this situation)... so actually you don't need the frames at all you just need to center the page a different way.. If you want to rid of the frames post back it should be relatively easy.
For anyone who didn't get that, take a look at http://www.sapien-innovations.co.uk/...sy_pro_002.htm it's the about us page; the menu, left hand margin, title, and footer are all re-written and the frames seem to be used just to space the page and hide the url. Cheers, Jamey |
