Hi there.
Im sorry to bother anybody, but im having an issue. When im on Dreamweaver, and i PREVIEW in browser, Everything works perfect !!!! PERFECT !!!!!!!! Then when i upload it to the server , i try to view the index.htm file, and it displays a BLANK PAGE. As a move the mouse arround, i do see the links on the status bar, but there is Absolutelly nothing displaying in the page. its all white.. the url is www.resolvaseuproblema.com I also noticed that, on the HTML CODE, the code links everyfile as src="file:///C|/.. Example: <a href="carros.htm"><img name="carros" src="file:///C|/ResolvaSeuProblema/Afterslicing/images/carros.jpg" width="99" height="16" border="0" id="carros" alt="" /></a></td> <td><img src="file:///C|/ResolvaSeuProblema/Afterslicing/images/spacer.gif" width="1" height="13" border="0" alt="" /></td> For one minute i thought the "file:///C|/" doesnt sound right. after the file is uploaded to the server, i checked the HTML and the files are still pointed with file:///C| at the beginning. PLEASE HELP i've been working on the website for so long. I didnt have this problem the other time i did it |

Re: DreamWeaver8 . Help. When i press F12 site displays fine, after its in server not
You need to change the link to those files relative to your site. They work fine on your local machine because the files point to your machine. A server can't access files on your computer (which is a very good thing).
Upload the pictures to your server and change the links in your web documents. Example: http://www.resolvaseuproblema.com/images/ *insert_image_name.gif*

Hi hydraliskplasma welcome to TSF,
Dreamweaver has a nice little find and replace option on your EDIT menu. Find: file:///C|/ResolvaSeuProblema replace: http://www.ResolvaSeuProblema.com Doing each by hand would be killer. I would also recommend creating a new Site in dreamweaver if you haven't already. Check out link below for more info. How to create a Site in Dreamweaver 8 Hope that helps!

Re: DreamWeaver8 . Help. When i press F12 site displays fine, after its in server not
Omg, Thank you very much, I never thought about REPLACING ALL. I really like that idea.
Thank you All for the support.. The only funny thing is, The first websites i made, worked fine. so i thought dreamweaver would automatically change that while uploading to server. but i was wrong. So let me try see if it works. THX once again :) |

It won't do that anymore once you set up your sites in your Local Files tab (on the right in DW). It's great.
