Evil Visual Basic 2008 Expess Edition

i'm starting to learn how to program using the VB langauge. when i recently tried to publish a program to my computer in Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition received the following 3 errors:

Error 1 Cannot publish because a project failed to build.

Error 2 Unable to copy file "bin\Release\Mattomatic Measurement Converter 1.0.exe.manifest" to "bin\Release\app.publish\Application Files\Mattomatic Measurement Converter 1.0_1_0_0_0\Mattomatic Measurement Converter 1.0.exe.manifest". The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters.

Error 3 Unable to copy file "obj\Release\Mattomatic Measurement Converter 1.0.exe" to "bin\Release\app.publish\Application Files\Mattomatic Measurement Converter 1.0_1_0_0_0\Mattomatic Measurement Converter 1.0.exe.deploy". The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters.

i have tried to look on the local help in VB 2008 bit i could not locate anything. if anyone knows what the errors means and how to fix them could you please reply to this message.
